A Microsoft SharePoint Foundation compatible application could not be found



 
1. Make sure you are using 32-bit Internet Explorer.

In this case, you may click Tools at right upper corner at Internet Explorer 9, and click About Internet Explorer to check it.

2. Check whether SharePoint OpenDocuments Class ActiveX control is enabled under All add-ons.

Enable SharePoint Support features

Control panel => Programs and features => go to the office installation and click "Change" =>

then change the following feature SharePoint Support features to "Run from my computer".

once this has been done Restart the computer.....

then go to control panel again and run a REPAIR on the office installation......

restart the computer and you should be good to go ....
